The Freedom Committee of Orange County

Memorial Day 2018 – The Freedom Committee of Orange County honored all branches of the military, from both past and present wars. The event was held at Harbor Lawn – Mt. Olive Memorial Park and Mortuary organized by veterans of WWII, Korea, Vietnam and the Middle East wars. The Keynote speaker was Colonel Denton Knapp, who served multiple combat tours in Iraq and Afghanistan. Different events at the ceremony included music by the 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing Band, C-310J aerial flyover by the California Air National Guard’s 146th Airlift Wing, Missing Man formation by the Mentor Heritage Foundation March ARB Aero club, and a wreath-laying ceremony honoring all military branches. The Stanley W. Ekstrom Foundation proudly and gladly supports veterans and active duty military.
