Mob Museum

With the ratification of the 18th Amendment in 1919, prohibition became the law of the land thus making it illegal to purchase or consume alcoholic beverages in the United States. During the so-called Prohibition Era, gangs of criminals profited by supplying people with the illegal alcohol that they wanted. The National Museum of Organized Crime and Law Enforcement in Las Vegas, Nevada, strives to portray the evolution of these gangs as well as the accomplishments of law enforcement in fighting them. The goal of the Mob Museum is to advance the public understanding of organized crime’s history and impact on American society. To do this they have created a dynamic and interactive experience that allows visitors to understand how both organized crime and law enforcement evolved during this time. The Stanley Wayne Ekstrom Foundation is also proud to support the live fire exhibit. This exhibit is not only available to visitors, but it is also utilized for training for local law enforcement.
